Dear Yough Students and Families,

On behalf of the Yough School District, I am excited to welcome each of you back to what promises to be another exciting and rewarding school year! I hope you had a restful and enjoyable summer, filled with meaningful moments and special memories. Purpose means ensuring every student understands the "why" behind what they are learning and how it connects to their future. Whether in the classroom, on the field, or in our community, we strive to create meaningful learning experiences that build confidence and direction.
Passion is what brings our schools to life. From the energy of our teachers and staff to the talents of our students, we are committed to creating an environment where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is celebrated, and students feel excited to learn and grow.
Progress is the result of our hard work and collaboration. At Yough, progress means more than academic success; it’s about developing responsible, respectful, and resilient young people prepared to make a difference in their world.

We are excited to continue building strong partnerships with our families, working together to support every child’s journey. The Yough Commitment is not just a motto—it’s a promise we make to each other every day: to show up with purpose, lead with passion, and strive for progress.

In closing, I personally want to thank everyone who has worked diligently throughout the summer to prepare our schools and extra-curricular activities for the upcoming school year. As a reminder, please visit the Parent Portal in PowerSchool on Monday, August 18 to access class schedules, transportation information, etc. If you require any additional information, please contact your child’s school. Below are some important items for you to review to assist our efforts in a smooth start:

First Day of School is August 27
Always allow extra time for your child’s bus to arrive at their stop.
Please feel free to reach out to our teachers and staff if you have any questions or concerns.
Labor Day is Monday, September 1 (no school)
You are cordially invited to Meet the Teacher/Open House programs held at each individual building.
Elementary Schools- September 4th from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm
High School- September 11th from 6pm to 8pm
Intermediate Middle School- September 18th from 6pm to 8pm
